Not exactly. As I understand it they said to the lawyer "look this
over for any minor changes needed";  the lawyer said "if you publish
anything like that, you will be sued for every penny you have" (which
is correct advice--the libel laws here are very tough); so they
fired the lowyer.  One of the top libel lawyers in the country, BTW.
