Examination of the Scientology E-Meter Model "Mark Super VII"
"TA" refers to name given to shunt potentiometer control on
Emeter by Hubbard:
V out @ "TA" = 2.0 = 2.2 Volts
V out @ "TA" = 3.0 = 2.8 Volts
Max Vout = 5.0 Volts
TA = "2.0" on dial = 2.2 V = 5000ohms load
TA = "3.0" on dial = 2.8 V @ 12500 ohms load
Ohms Law E [Volts] = I [Amps] * R [Resistance in ohms]
I = 2.2/5000 = 440ua [micro Amperes] at "TA" indicator set to 2.0
I = 2.8/12500 = 224ua [micro Amperes] at "TA" indicator set to 3.0
Average Value in what Hubbard describes as "normal" hand to hand
resistance ranges encountered in its use would be:
440 + 224 = 664 ua /2 = 332 ua - 1/3rd of a milliamp
Total charge carriers in Coulombs delivered to the human body
during typical use 2.5 hour session:
60 Sec X 60 minutes X 2.5 hours X .000332 Amperes = 2.98 Coulombs
let's call that 3 coulombs.
ECT = electro convulsive shock - references to ‘typical' usages
vary; for sake of illustration a published and findable on the
web, dose was chosen of 200 Volts AC applied to temples with
conductive gel - for 2 seconds for comparisons. Using conductive
Gel I have measured a skin resistance with a 2 Centimeter round
nickel contact to be approximately 970 Ohms across temple - for
sake of illustrative equations I'm rounding this to 1000 Ohms.
200 Volts/1000 Ohms = .2 Amperes = 200,000 uAmperes
for 2 seconds is one ECT value I have located as being used for a
shock, these are given in a series of three shocks, some seconds
apart....
Total dose of charge carriers to the host are as follows for one
sample series of 3 ECT shocks considered:
1 ‘treatment' = 200,000 uAmperes x 2 seconds x 3 = 1.2 coulombs
of electric charge carriers [electrons]
So a series of 2 ECT shocks to the temporal lobes yields 1.2
coulombs yet 3 hr session with this "E-Meter" yields 3 coulombs.
Defined in terms of charge carriers - 2.5 hrs of auditing = 2
shocks used in ECT treatments by the "Evil Psychs".

Biologically Closed Electric Circuits
"In the authors opinion, endogenous activation of BCEC systems,
leading to unidirectional flow of current over long time periods,
may lead to modification of cells and tissues" "Strong currents
will destroy cells and tissue. Weak currents, on the other hand,
will gently create new internal and external environments for
cells. The currents will also directly interfere
with cellular metabolism and modify structural elements of cells,
damage to structures e.g. the DNA molecule, is evidently one
possible effect of such modifications. Cells subjected to the
conditions described can be expected to show variable abilities
to survive and adapt themselves to the new living conditions."
definitions:
endogenous [external]
BCEC refers to "Biologically Closed Electric Circuits" as are
found in the human body.
