The Scientology organization intends to bring charges against France before the UN Human Rights Commission

Los Angeles, USA
September 21, 1999

The trial which opened in Marseille in Monday against seven sect members was a violation of the European Human Rights Convention and other international human rights treaties, stated Scientology President Heber C. Jentzsch in Los Angeles. The trial resulted from a charge by a former Scientology member from Marseille. An initial process was suspended in 1995. The current process was preceded by a scandal concerning records which were destroyed through oversight.
